Casual Friday
While I have never been a fan of ‘Casual Friday’ – you should look your very best at work every day – that does not mean that I don’t enjoy wearing a softer, more relaxed look at times, especially in the summer. It shows that you are not one dimensional, and with a bit of attention to detail, you can still look perfectly professional.

This striped shirt was a great find at Bloomies a few months ago…it is super soft and has fringe detail on the collar and cuffs…it will also look nice with shorts or jeans. It feels great on! The Ralph Lauren belt belonged to Ginger, is over 20 years old.
The wide legged linen pants are by Alice and Olivia – LOVE them and glad that even though I am petite, they work! A lot has to do with shoe choice, a high wedge makes your legs look longer…
And because the shoe color is beige/natural, they ‘disappear’ and keep the focus on the long legs. (Ha!) With shoe choice behind me, what to wear for a jacket/wrap? A long blazer would not be the right proportion with these pants and my cropped blazers were not the right color/style. Digging deep into my collection of scarves, I pulled out this wrap by JMcLaughlin…
It’s a tropical weight wool (I learned that term from Ginger), and the colors pulled everything together…
Whether just draped over your shoulders, or tied in front, it’s a chic and practical choice.
Happy Friday everyone – have a nice weekend!
