Inspired By Nashville

What do you wear when you are entertaining guests at home? For me it must be something comfortable, stylish, and fitting to the occasion…these pics were taken on Thanksgiving Day, and my outfit inspiration came from our recent girls trip to Nashville!

You can’t go wrong when you start with black jeans (Ralph Lauren) and tan cowboy boots…

If you saw these in my recent post, you know that they are by Guess, and many years old…I like that they have a bit of a heel yet they are super comfy…but it’s the other pieces that really make this outfit super special…

This plaid shirt ain’t from LLBean or Lands End, and it ain’t flannel! No way José! It is a super sheer (yes, very see through) poly-acetate fabric, brand is Elizabeth and James. I found it at Revolve in Lexington a few months ago and loved it instantly – plaid shirts are nice, but for me to buy one there had to be something different about it, and this fabric certainly is. The silver and leather choker is another unique piece – bought it in NASH!

A bit more about the blouse: on this day I wore a black lace-trimmed cami underneath – out to dinner in the evening it will look cool with just a black bra underneath – uh, maybe not to Belmont Center….Hahaha…

Everything under control in the kitchen! While I forgot to take pictures of the dining room table, my napkins and placecards were also red plaid…

Plaid?? Did someone say plaid???

It seemed to be a common theme! And it turned out that I was not the only one inspired by Nashville!

My sister went with a monochromatic country look – don’t you love her boots???

Hope y’all are enjoying the hustle and bustle of the holiday season!   🙂
