OTK Boots, Take 2

Over the knee boots are a style that is here to stay! They can be worn on women of all ages, either dressed up or worn casually…they can be worn to create a super sexy look, or alternatively, a conservative ‘Nashville’ vibe…you can find them in high heels, mid-heels, or even flats…I bought a Stuart Weitzman pair a few years back and ended up ditching them – while the camel suede was beautiful, the fit was too loose and I hated the back ties at the top which were supposedly keep them up…the ties always came undone and drove me nuts.

Just recently I tried again, this time a pair by Marc Fisher that I found online, under $200 – as of this writing I have only worn them once, but so far so good…the three inch block heel is comfortable to have on all day, yet flattering on a petite gal…and even though they are not skin tight they do stay up, and will fit easily over jeans and leggings…

When you wear OTK boots with a dress or skirt, I like a peek of skin to show…if you want a more conservative look you could also wear tights…

Now let’s get to the rest of this outfit…this is a DVF sleeveless sweater dress that I have had for quite a few years…wore it with blazers, leather jackets, chunky necklaces, high brown boots, casual booties…I wore it so much that I almost got rid of it last year, it almost went bye-bye to Revolve…

So glad that I had second thoughts and kept it! By wearing it with a blouse underneath, it looks like a whole new dress!

The loose fitting, long-sleeved blouse nicely balances the short, fitted dress…a white blouse would be another pretty option…

As for a jacket/coat, I again went conservative and loose-fitting to balance the boots, especially for a business casual look…

Too bad we don’t go out much these days with so many ideas in my head for fun boot outfits…Argh! Soon, hopefully soon…;-)

Stay well. Dress well. Enjoy the NOW.
