Sassy Style

It’s a chilly spring day, what’s a gal to wear to be warm enough yet not look like it’s the middle of winter? Voila! Here was my choice on this gloomy April day…starting with the leopard blazer: it is made of a beautiful lightweight wool fabric…toasty, but not too heavy for the spring season…

The underside of the collar is a bright red wool, so it’s fun to pop it up! As for the skirt, it’s a waxed cotton from All Saints…with the length above the knee it looks good with a bootie or a low heel, but for work, never a high heeled pump…funny how a couple of inches can make such a huge difference, but it really does…sassy vs. slutty – your choice! 😉

Under the jacket I initially chose a sleeveless hot pink blouse, but opted for something warmer, a Wolford bodysuit. It’s about as glam as a turtleneck can get and is super comfortable…the layered mixed-metal necklace added a touch of fun…

Another last minute change: at first I put on black opaque tights but when I looked in the mirror, the outfit just screamed winter to me…needed to lighten things up but it was too darn cold for bare legs…the perfect solution: silky smooth Wolford tights in their ‘GOBI’ nude…pairing the nude tights with white booties (Rag and Bone) also helped to keep things light…

Getting ready to hit the road, needed another layer for warmth so grabbed this generous ruffled wool scarf…a cape would be another nice option…

Let’s hope the weather soon turns warmer!

Have a nice weekend everyone! Happy shopping! 😉
