Three-way Shorts

Dressed for work: ‘Zoom appropriate’…hair and makeup done, a great yellow blazer for color, and a black sheath underneath??? Haha – no ma’am, I’m actually wearing SHORTS!

A far cry from everyday shorts for sure, these Trina Turk shorts are a great alternate to a short skirt, and fun to style in different ways…they are a cotton/polyester/elastane blend, found earlier this summer at French Lessons in Winchester…

With the cute buttons and stripes, I prefer to keep it simple on the top, either with black or a solid bright color…as for shoes, sneakers are a way of life most days, but I can’t wait to wear these with a high bootie!

How cute is this? Maybe I can wear it to the grocery store??? Haha…

The black bow-tie blouse gives the shorts a more elegant look which is all about balance: with shorts and high heels on the bottom, contrast it with a loose, long-sleeved top…that’s if you’re going for ‘elegant’…

But as you know, sometimes I go for slutty – I mean sexy! (Hahaha)…this black off the shoulder top is by Free People, a great year round basic…and unlike pre-pandemic evenings, I opted for sneakers instead of heels – they somehow felt more appropriate for going out to dinner at a table on the sidewalk, across the street from CVS. 😉 Ugh.

Yeah, this COVID sneaker trend is not going away anytime soon, but heels are not gone for good! Tonight, go try on a pair of your heels – after your tootsies adjust to the shock, you will quickly remember how they ‘elevate’ your whole look!
So – what shorts outfit here do you like best? 1, 2, or 3?
Stay well. Dress well. Enjoy the NOW.

I like outfit 3 best. All 3 look terrific on you, but #3 is about where I’m living these days. We started back to work (school) but as I’m wearing a mask every day, and it feels as though it’s 150 degrees outside, I haven’t even considered any other shoes BESIDES sneakers. But I’m elevating my sneakers beyond Superga, Converse, and Vans. I ordred a pair from Italy of woven leather. So different, but still casual.
I love leather sneakers!!!! 🙂
