Christmas Casual
Maybe you are going Christmas shopping, maybe you are meeting a friend for coffee, maybe it’s a casual house party….casual does not mean you can’t look stylish/festive, and it does not mean you can’t be comfortable…..I actually wore this outfit to take my grandson (17 months) out to lunch at a local diner, the weekend after Thanksgiving….while you won’t usually catch me in a red top with a black bottom (too predictable), I love red with jeans, especially jeans that are faded and distressed….it is all about BALANCE. The red Wolford top is very fitted, which balances nicely with the ‘boyfriend’/loose fit Lucky jeans…..the belt with the glitzy buckle (old!!) also is a nice contrast to the ripped jeans….
The traditional Burberry plaid looks great with red and finishes the ‘Christmas Casual’ look…..FYI, there are many knock off Burberry scarves that would look equally nice – sometimes you just can’t tell!! (No wise cracks, Peter…)
These JCrew wedges are super comfortable, even without socks……another option would be a tan suede bootie….
A warm jacket that has a hood for the predicted drizzle and I am good to go!

Here is another ‘Christmas Casual’ option with items you likely already have in your closet….maybe add a cool belt or fun earrings and you are ready to sit on Santa’s lap! 🙂

At 62, I don’t think the ripped jeans work for me, but this would be a classic look with my straight leg jeans. Great look!
