Close Call
It was already folded neatly in a bag, along with a romper and a white lace blouse…a bag of clothes that was destined to go to Revolve, never to be worn again…yet while browsing through emails, an ad caught my eye for ‘perfect summer dresses’…all high-end, simple, and classically chic. Hey, this one looks just like my navy Milly dress…the one I paid full price for and only wore ONCE. Maybe I should reconsider selling it? Maybe I should give it one more try? What the heck, yes…
This time I will not try to make a tailored cotton dress look like ‘fun’. I will stick to a neutral shoe that is not too dressy with a necklace that pops more against the navy…

Shoe choice WAY BETTER than the coral sexy heels! (Seen on previous post)

The ivory necklace – a recent purchase from Anthropologie – perfect!

For a handbag, instead of the dressier white purse, a brown leather tote…another improvement, yes?

And instead of a jacket, a white linen duster. Casual yet way more sophisticated than white denim…

And because I was on a roll, why not try a belt for a different look! The bottom line: I rescued the dress. It will be a nice summer basic, a more relaxed alternative to a simple sheath. Don’t you agree?
Work hard. Play hard. Enjoy every day.
