Cold January Night
It is January in New England, Saturday night……wet snow fell on and off all day, roads and sidewalks a slushy mess, cold and dark…….No reason to stay home! Let’s call some friends and go out for drinks and a bite to eat….Response: “We are up for it, but we are NOT dressing up – it’s cold out and the roads are slippery.” Haha….Who said anything about dressing up! Ok, ok…..I get it….
So what to wear? Going to a local pub style restaurant….. Need to be casual, warm, comfortable, yet still feel glamorous – after all, it is Saturday night, January or not! My choice was a bright green cashmere sweater by Magaschoni, found at Bloomingdales after Christmas sale – love the loose but not too boxy fit, and the color will go with a lot – jeans, white, brown, navy…..wore it here with heavyweight black leggings from Revolve and my toasty Technica boots, gift from hubby a few years back. The bulky boots are a nice balance with tight leggings….Add silver jewelry and a chunky watch and that’s all you need – simple yet stylish.
These sterling bangles I wore actually belonged to my grandmother – Ginger’s mother – and the wide sterling cuff was a gift from my high school boyfriend! Funny how some accessories are timeless…..
