Color Splash

Sometimes it’s fun to wear something different than your typical style, but it may involve a bit of risk taking….when the item is a bargain, and something you can pass on to your daughter, not such a big risk……Here is an outfit atypical for me, recently worn to an afternoon graduation party………I found the Tibi tunic/dress at Revolve and LOVED the colors, thought it would be great for summer….when I tried it on I loved it but knew it was too short for me to wear as a dress (fine for a younger woman), thought it would look good over white jeans, maybe even belted….well, I went in a different direction – I found white leggings (never liked them before) at Portobello Road, a FABULOUS shop in Chestnut Hill…..more lightweight than jeans but not sheer at all and a bit dressier (super comfortable)….. I also passed on wearing a belt – the loose fabric draped close to my body without making me look pregnant as some tops can do….elegant and feminine.

Accessorized with layered gold bracelets and a vintage camel colored Gucci bag that was Ginger’s. While I do have gold clutches, that would have been to ‘matchy’.

As the day progressed to evening I grabbed a hot pink scarf to keep warm. Fun outfit for me – it was good to try a new look!
