Country Girls
Do y’all like cowboy boots, country music and a good ol’ time with the girls?

Well, that’s what this Sunday afternoon was all about with my daughter, sister, and niece….we were going to see Amber Eyes at the Landsowne Pub in Fenway, a pre-event to the Zac Brown Concert at Fenway Park…as we poured into an Uber the sister/mother/daughter ribbing was well under way….”We are going to see a family member playing in a country band!” I excitedly told the Uber driver. “A family member? Just ‘a family member’???”, my sister replied…”It’s your SON!!” Hahahaha…

What I wore: a white ‘skort’ by Alice and Olivia, with a blue checked one shoulder top by French Connection. You can wear it two different ways, on or off the shoulder – which way do you prefer? (Peter voted off, the girls voted on.)
The boots are as old as the hills, Guess brand…

I actually gave these away to my niece a few years ago, and she recently gave them back to me…they are a good classic style so I decided to keep them, especially since my son now plays in a country band!

Here with my niece, Dana, and yes, I am wearing a hat that says ‘Coors Light’…if you bought a $6 beer you got the hat free – didn’t drink the beer but I wanted the hat! Good deal for a decent hat!

Yeehaw! My sister got a hat too and wasted another beer!

The music was upbeat for three hours straight as they played a combination of their own music as well as Zac Brown cover songs…

Not just because my son is in it, this band is amazing! Cross my heart!
CDs will be available for sale September 10th, great music to play in the car!

Yes, the girls had a very good time! Stay tuned for plenty more country girl pics at the end of next month…this is just the first of many, as the four of us have booked a girls trip to Nashville! Hayley and Dana have been before so they are taking the full lead on our itinerary.
Believe it or not, this is actually my first girls trip and obviously quite different from any trips I have taken in the past. Yikes! If nothing else I am sure there will be many laughs – hopefully not all at me. 😉
If any of you have ever been to Nashville I would love to hear about your favorite places to eat, drink, and shop!
Happy Monday!

My husband just got back from Nashville this week! He goes several times a year for work. We’ve also been many times for theater, concerts, family trips, etc. We live 2.5 hours away in Chattanooga. Hubby said it was so crowded downtown that you could hardly walk, and that every single bar or restaurant on Broadway had live entertainment. He stayed at the Doubletree. We’ve also stayed at the Opryland Hotel but it’s not downtown. Nashville is really up and coming with it’s shopping scene and with it’s restaurants as well. They will have something for every palate and purse.
