Fancy Pants
We all wear black leggings and black and/or blue jeans are a basic in nearly every woman’s closet. Perfectly necessary, but how about something totally different for a change? These 7 For all Mankind jeans are fun, versatile, and comfortable too (thanks to some lycra in the fabric). I bought them late last year, but they are now on sale online at Bloomingdales (fit is true to size). Here is a day I wore them out to lunch and shopping with hubby…topped off with a white silk blouse (Equipment) and black leather booties.
There are endless options to what you can wear with these jeans: black, white, beige, dark green, dusty rose…a turtleneck sweater, a frilly blouse, a simple black blazer…a blue chambray shirt would also look cool, or a plain white tee shirt with a leather or denim jacket in the spring…
Opted for a lightweight raspberry cashmere scarf, a plain black braided belt, and a wrist of silver bangles.
Ready to hit the road with Prada shades, Moncler coat, and Kate Spade cross body bag (ideal for hands free shopping.)
While hubby was in the dressing room, couldn’t resist taking a selfie! The slim floral pants balance nicely with the puffy skirt of the coat.

Camo jeans would be another fun alternative to solid jeans; I love the simple way this woman wears them, as well as the unexpected contrast of her red bag. Dressed up with high heels, or dressed down with fashion sneakers or boots, the pattern makes an instant style statement – at any age.
When the shopping afternoon came to an end and we were back to household chores, off came the silk blouse and high heels, on went a cuddly cashmere sweater (Helmut Lang) and Vince slip-on sneakers.
C’mon! You didn’t think I was going to put on sweatpants? 😉

Totally obsessed with those pants, and love using a pattern as a neutral!
I love the fancy pants on you. However, they are a little too bright for me to wear. I think I liked them best with the slip on sneakers.
