It’s no secret to anyone who knows me that I love to shop at Revolve, a great consignment shop with multiple locations in the Boston area…shopping here does not feel like you are in a second-hand shop, it feels like you are in a chic boutique with new merchandise that changes often…what I love most of all, however, is finding the real treasures, the pieces that are high-end and/or super high-end – pieces that I normally would pass over at full retail price…such as this fab skirt – found years ago – by Sonia Rykiel…

It is waxed cotton with a high waist and deep pockets…in the past I have worn it with a simple white cotton shirt, here I opted for a slim army green tee by L’Agence…

The choker of black and gold wooden beads pulls the outfit together, topped off with shiny gold hoop earrings.

As for shoe choice, with a long, full skirt you need a shoe that is not too delicate…ideally a round toe, a bootie (or boot), and a chunky heel…

Another FAB FIND from Revolve – See By Chloé sandals. A little bit edgy, and every bit comfortable…will also be perfect with jeans or shorts…

Choosing a jacket/sweater to wear with this outfit can be challenging because of the full skirt shape…adding a third color is often more interesting, so I opted for this white linen duster by Eileen Fisher…a minimal cropped style jacket would also look nice.
