Lighten Up
What a pleasure it was to wear a silk dress after months of layers and heavier fabrics – not to mention a colorful silk dress! While I am not usually drawn to prints this unique Veronica Beard caught my eye, found at least five years ago at Viola Lovely in Concord Center. I have worn it to work as well as to parties and various evening events, almost thought I was getting tired of it…
Glad I didn’t give it away! It’s a nice change from all my black and tan, and I love the feminine movement of the skirt. What kept it fresh for me was wearing it with new shoes and a new jacket.
Super comfy open toe booties by Tory Burch in a rich camel color that goes with everything.
To really keep the look light for spring, topped it off with a silvery beige jacket by Vince. Here’s the kicker: The real beauty of this jacket may not be evident in the photos, but the fabric is a thin, soft leather! Very cool. Love mixing fabrics. And love that I found it at Revolve for a fraction of its retail price!
Off to work with a shiny tan tote by Sorial. For a similar look, check out their bronze metallic tote for only $148.
Wow – a whole day without wearing a stitch of black. A nice change!

The dress is lovely and looks great on you! The jacket is so nice for spring. Your booties are divine and I could almost see myself wearing these to work. Awesome spring outfit:)
