Peter’s Summer Party Style

It was a Friday night in May and we were going to a Dance Party Fundraiser in honor of the late model Linda Petrosian, daughter of Yolanda Cellucci…”What are you wearing?”, Peter asked me…”Something fun and sexy!” I replied, “No need for you to wear a suit.”

For many guys, this would be a frustrating challenge: no need to wear a suit, but certainly not super casual – it’s that middle ground – the ‘upscale casual’, ‘cocktail attire’, or ‘festive attire’ dress code that drives guys to their closets in search of khakis and their best ‘business’ shirt. Not my guy! Peter started by deciding which sport jacket he was going to wear, then the rest fell into place…

This bold seersucker blazer is by Cremieux, a French luxury brand we discovered in Palm Beach last year – strictly menswear and all pieces to die for. I sat on the ‘chick chair’ and watched Peter try on several fun pieces…this jacket was easily a winner!

And who could resist this ‘island girl’ pocket square??? Such a fun detail!

As for the pants, these are slim white jeans by Zegna, found at the Nordstrom Rack…cool ostrich loafers by Mezlan, they were a terrific bargain also found at the Rack…(he has yet to splurge on Ferragamo or Gucci loafers, yet being the key word…)

Last but not least, check out this fabulous shirt – simplicity at its finest. A navy blue fine cotton knit, also by Cremieux. Nice choices Peter!

No need to fret because there is no Cremieux in your area and no need to fret if you have a limited budget…you can create this look with different brands at a variety of price points. For example…

This blazer is available online for under $150…you might even find it for less at places like the Gap or Target…

Annnd, this navy shirt is only $39.99 at Express! Pair it with your favorite white jeans and you are good to go! What??? Your guy doesn’t have white jeans??? Time to go shopping!

So that’s what Peter wore to the dance party…very spiffy, right?

You want to know what I wore? Wait till you see!!!

  • Peter looks so dapper! My husband has several Cremieux pieces and loves the brand. I know you all had a blast at the party.
