Pin One On

Especially at the end of a season when we have been wearing the same clothes for months, we get tired of the same old, same old look…..sometimes a simple accessory can give your shirt or jacket a whole new look, as seen here with a pin that I have had for years, belonged to Ginger. I don’t know where she bought it or what it is worth, but I like the vintage look of it….while I have worn it on a jacket lapel, wearing it at the neck makes more of a statement – maybe French schoolgirl? Or maybe librarian? Haha….004To keep the focus on the pin, I wore small earrings, they are actually true vintage earrings that belonged to my grandmother……Pins can be so much fun and an inexpensive way to add pizzazz…..you can find them in regular retail stores, but more fun is to look in antique shops, gift shops, yard sales, etc….they can also be a conversation piece, something that has personal significance to you, representing a place you love or a hobby…Ginger loved that kind of stuff…..

Once you decide to add more pins to your wardrobe, you will probably discover them in unexpected places and start to pin them in new places too – on a denim jacket, on a coat, on a purse!     Maybe you have some interesting pins tucked away…..are you ready to pin one on?
