Ski Bum

See the skiis on the wall? Well, this year those will be the only ones coming out of the basement…under the current circumstances, skiing will have to wait until the end of next year. However! That does not mean aprés ski clothes need to stay in hibernation. On a cold, snowy day in any part of New England, wearing a ski-inspired outfit is fun, comfortable, and a nice change from more urban garb…

These fur boots I found in Aspen, but no need to go that far if you want furry boots…just saw some great white ones recently at Sole Amour in Winchester…the top is an old favorite by Alp N Rock…if you have never seen their shirts you need to check them out!

Each one is unique with very European ‘mountain chic’ style…

The fabric is a cotton poly blend in a double face knit…toasty and meant to be fitted, not loose…an extra bonus with this shirt….

It’s reversible! So if you think over $200 for a casual shirt is too much – just divide the price by two!!! 😉

This is a great shirt for winter travel because you get two looks by packing just one shirt…my favorite is the black side, but the change is certainly fun…

And both sides have interesting details, like the gold leather ‘heart on my sleeve’ – never thought about the meaning of this until I wrote this post – pretty clever and a potential conversation piece for a single gal in a ski lodge….hahaha…not me…:-)

Okay, ready to hit the road in a Moncler puffer coat, looking like I will be cruising the snowy streets of Stowe, but instead will be cruising the aisles of Whole Foods and Home Goods…hey, it could be worse…
Any skiers out there? Will YOU be hitting the slopes this season?
Stay well. Dress well. Enjoy the NOW.
