Snowy Night On the Town
Snow has finally hit the Boston area, the ground is white, the streets are slippery, more on the way…..Peter and I at home on a recent Saturday, a bit after 6:30pm…..dark outside , cold, still snowing a bit….”So what are we doing for dinner?”, I ask, to which Peter quickly replied, “We’re going out.”…..”But it’s so miserable out…” – “So what – we’re going out – go dress up nice!”……Woo Hoo! I don’t need to be told that twice. Up from my computer and into my closet! What to wear on a night like this? I started knowing I had to wear my waterproof (and warm) Aquatalia boots (bought seven years ago!!!)….we decided to go to Mistral in Boston, so definitely a place to go for a sexy look….this sweater with the open shoulders is warm and sexy at the same time, the skirt is waxed cotton but looks like leather, the peek of tights is wild, also warm……
Because the sweater makes a strong statement on it’s own, I wore no necklace and kept my earrings simple to look elegant and not trashy….on the same note, I toned down my makeup – a smokey eye with no blush and a nude lip (Mocha by MAC).
The restaurant was packed, yet we had no trouble getting seats at the bar….perfect! It was a wonderful evening and a huge contrast to the night before where we had takeout while babysitting little Henry (a different kind of wonderful)…..thank you Peter!

Candy…I LOVE your hair like this and less is more…love the toned down makeup. You look gorgeous in these photos. And I love your sweater.
Thank you Chris, I have been enjoying the ‘less is more’ look!
