Sweet As Sugar

What’s so sweet you say? This pink silk skirt by Ralph Lauren.  It is soft and luxurious, the color of cotton candy, and when you walk there is lots of movement, which feels so feminine! (Imagine dancing in it!) I posted about it before but thought it deserved a second look…

With a significant front slit and such delicate fabric, I paired it with simple black pieces to be office appropriate…

Gosh I need my hairdresser to get back from vacation!

Under the blazer, a simple rayon tee found at Sole Amour in Winchester… the brand is ‘143’…(evidently ‘143’ means ‘I love you’! Did you know that?) Anyway, I tucked it in to show the waist, but next time I would leave the tee on the outside and add a skinny black patent belt. (When in doubt, belt it!)

The blazer is a year round basic by Zadig and Voltaire…it looks just as great with jeans or leggings, doesn’t wrinkle – perfect for traveling.

Now how about these booties???

I was obsessed as soon as I saw them on a Stuart Weitzman Instagram ad…made of stretch woven fabric so they are lightweight and easy to care for. I love the sleek pointed toe and the skinny high heel – so sexy! They also come in leopard print for you leopard obsessed ladies!

The leopard admittedly is very cool but I resisted! Instead, I opted for practicality – black will go with everything and I won’t tire of the bold print…

Oh – you say I should have bought them both??? Haha! If I end up really loving these, maybe when they go on sale…:-)

All the pieces in this post are perfect for September weather, though today feels like the middle of July. Soon enough the temperatures will be falling and we will be wearing heavier layers and pulling out our tights…speaking of which…

Assignment of the week: Take inventory of your tights! Empty out your drawer and go through every single one…trash the ones that looks ratty and the ones that are not comfortable. Then you will know exactly what you need to replace for the soon to be here fall weather…

Happy Monday!
