Two Easy Pieces

Most of us are wearing ‘easy pieces’ now day after day after day…comfort is a priority, and looking professional for many is reserved for Zoom calls. As for me, there are certainly some items that are ‘pandemic perfect’ – stretchy white pants, funky sneakers, creative casual separates. Then I reach a point when I need MORE, I literally need to get more dressed up and will look for any excuse to do so. Have to head into the office for a few hours, then meet hubby for lunch – perfect!
What to wear? Two ‘easy pieces’! This very special leather skirt is by The Row, it is soft as butta’ and even better, found it at Revolve…just LOVE the caramel color that will look great with black, navy, or as seen here, white…

The blouse is by PINKO, bought it last year at their shop in SOHO…the fabric is a stiff cotton percale that gives it drama…but if you want even more drama…

It comes with it’s own sash that can be worn as a belt, as a headband, or as a necktie!

So sweet, and I am always a sucker for bows! Do note, however, that to look hip, you don’t want to wear ‘sweet’ head to toe…if you are sweet on top, go badass on the bottom! 😉

Nicely balanced, right? Well, truth be told, on this particular day I skipped the bow…

Instead, I went for a functional wrap. Seemed more pandemic appropriate as crazy as that sounds.

The Bottom Line:
- Don’t wait for the pandemic to be over before you wear the things you love. This blouse would look cute with jeans. The skirt would be cool with a simple teeshirt. Be the best dressed person in the grocery store.
- My favorite way to accessorize with an off-the-shoulder blouse: bold earrings and a bare neck.
- Six months ago you probably weren’t wearing sneakers every day – so don’t do it now! A day or two in heels may spark the femme fatale in you! 😉
Stay well. Dress well. Enjoy the NOW.

I love this outfit on you. I have a similar skirt (in a darker brown) that has been in my closet for about 20 years. I will make the effort to pull it out and wear it, even if only to the grocery store!
Yay!!!! 😉
