Theory top with Lucky jeans
Theory top with Lucky jeans

First I must start by saying that nothing about this outfit is ‘Ginger approved’…..if she was still around I am sure I would be hearing. “For God’s sake, you are almost 60, dress your age!”……Well, we don’t always listen to our mothers, do we??? The older I get, the more I believe in wearing whatever makes me happy, and this made me very happy. (Peter loved it too!) After a long week at work where I was the respectable professional, I felt like dressing for dinner with a sexy, edgy, urban vibe – funny enough, we didn’t even go into the city, just had dinner at a local spot in the ‘burbs….close jeans The top I have had for a few years, by Theory, the jeans and belt are new this year by Lucky….with the jeans so ripped up I like that they are a loose, “boyfriend” fit, skin tight would not be good….

Louis Vuitton adds elegance!
Louis Vuitton adds elegance!

A dressy Louis Vuitton shoulder bag adds elegance to the edginess as did strappy sandals from Nordstroms (old!)….a boot would also look great, but there will be plenty of time for boots very soon……..sexy shoe

The final touch was this fabulous soft black leather jacket by Tribe USA, found at a boutique in Chatham while vacationing this year…..a very versatile piece that will work just as nicely with business attire…edgy but feminine and super comfortable….

Back to the sheath dress tomorrow!  Ahhhh, variety is the spice of life…….

  • You know I love the outfit – BUT – it doesn’t look like you! I like you funky/edgy but something about those jeans just doesn’t work for me. (oh my God, I sound like YOU…)

  • I know a lot of women for whom that outfit would be deemed ‘age appropriate’.
They could not come close to the style and fit you have. If the shoe fits (and looks spectacular) wear it! And, as usual you wear it beautifully. So…to hell with this ‘age appropriate’ nonsense.
