Warm At Last
What are gals to do when day after day in the spring it is cold and raining? You dress for the weather, constantly check your phone weather app, and wait for the heat to arrive. Not because of missing out on outdoor activities, but because we want to wear our summer clothes!!! Yeah, that would be me. 😉
Well, finally the weather changed for the better and it felt like summer at last! Hooray! As much as I love wearing black, it was time for a change and this DVF sheath dress in ice blue fit the bill. When I saw it at Revolve I loved the color instantly, then the fit and fabric sold me. It is a polyester/elastane blend, in a beautiful weight that feels like a sheer wool. Deliciously Jackie-O or Audrey Hepburn!
It is a subtle A-line style, so the above knee length is just right. A nude mid-heel pump kept the look simple and classic, perfect for the office. These are by LK Bennet, Copley Square. They also come higher or with a platform, but this height can’t be beat for everyday comfort.

This bright white blazer is incredibly versatile – for weekend wear with jeans, or with skirts/dresses to work. I said goodbye to another white blazer in my closet that did not ‘spark joy’ as this one does; sometimes you make mistakes, does not mean you have to live with it forever!
Feeling like such a lady, so thrilled to be in soft colors for a change. Speaking of ‘soft’, I have been experimenting with a slightly more subdued makeup style which you may notice here. Not less makeup, just different – will share product details soon…
The SUN is finally out so I need my Kate Spade shades! Hooray, hooray!
What is the first thing you wear when the temperatures soar?

I love your comment about “sparking joy”! That’s a great way to assess your clothes closet! They really should spark joy, otherwise time to go!
Thanks Karen, however I can’t take credit for that phrase – learned it from Marie Kondo’s great book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up. I now use the phrase (as does my husband) on a regular basis! 🙂
The white jacket for summer can’t be beat. It literally works with everything, especially khaki, beige and navy. I had to retire my favorite, a 3/4-length sleeve jacket from MaxMara, and have not been able to find a replacement I liked as well. Maybe I’ll be lucky and find one on sale!
Well the temperature soars here around the first of April. So the first thing I pull out are my brightly colored clothes (pink, green, yellow, etc.) Bright colors make me think spring is here to stay. Love the entire outfit. And your makeup looks like summertime:)
