Every time you walk out your door each day – whether going to work or meeting friends for lunch – or just going to the grocery store – what you wear sends a message. It’s a fact of life – we are visual creatures!!! Your message could change day to day, or day to night, as seen here………….Message above: I am professional, I am serious. I am a classy lady.
Some other messages: I am practical…I am artistic…..I am ready for fun….or, for some, I don’t care (heaven forbid)…….During a recent presentation on this subject to a group of lovely ladies, one woman said that her outward appearance didn’t reflect her “ready for fun” attitude, and she was hoping to gain some pointers….she was wearing khaki slacks, athletic sneakers, a plain black tee shirt, no makeup, no jewelry – practical and classic. Without sacrificing comfort, she could easily add some pizzazz by starting with a scarf and/or a colorful cardigan…or even just a wrist of bracelets adds style to a simple outfit. Sometimes one piece can change your whole look.

After asking the group what my message was (they guessed “professional” and “classy”), off came the camel cardigan and accessories in exchange for a whole new look, done in less than 30 seconds! Yeah, right, too bad I never change that quickly at home………

close pink bling Now what’s my message, I asked the group…..”Ready for fun!” was the response…..yes I am! One woman asked if I would wear these shoes to work – a definite NO was my answer – not that they are inappropriate with a conservative dress, but my feet would never make it through the day! These are for evening, or for times when I wouldn’t be walking all over the city…..OK ladies, you know I have to ask……What’s YOUR message????
