White Jacket Success

For months I have had my eye out for a bright white blazer in a fabric that could be worn year round….tried on quite a few in high end boutiques, fit was never right…..recently had luck in a mid-priced shop (geared to the younger set) in New Jersey…..
“How do you like this jacket, Peter?”
“Very nice, I like the style, it fits you well,” he replied.
“I almost didn’t buy it……”
“Why?” he hesitantly asks.
“It was cheap…..under $100….”
“It wasn’t expensive enough for you??? ONLY MY WIFE!”

Ok, let me clarify:  I love a bargain, but quality is a must….which is why it’s great to find things on sale or in a consignment shop….What sold me here: the fabric felt nice, it fit me well, and it looked pretty darn good.  No, the tailoring is not top of the line and this may not be in my closet ten years from now – but, heck, mixed in with my nicer pieces, it looks perfectly elegant!     021 The unconstructed style without buttons gives it a more modern look….what is especially appealing is its versatility – it looks great worn casually with jeans and boots, and just as easily can be worn with business casual separates…..034 The sleeves are ruched to give a look of being permanently pushed up, interesting detail……

059 No need to save this white blazer for dressing up, no need to wait until after Memorial Day! You add instant sophistication by adding a blazer to your ‘streetwear’ – here worn with leggings, a tunic, and metallic sneakers….

Stylish, comfortable, versatile – and cost less than dinner for two in the city!  🙂
