A Day in Blue Jeans
How many pair of blue jeans do you have? Some gals have many pairs – ten or more! Some say they live in blue jeans and wears them almost daily…a choice for ‘decision free’ dressing! 😉 I have never considered myself a ‘blue jeans gal’, but certainly wear them on occasion. If for no other reason it is an opportunity to wear an alternative to black jeans and leggings…
These are by Rag and Bone with a comfortable mid-rise waist and a skinny leg. Topped with a lightweight wool ribbed turtleneck by Theory and camel OTK boots by Stuart Weitzman. At first I thought I might be too old for ‘over the knee’ boots – they were best with mini-skirts and better on millennials – I was wrong! If you style them appropriately they are really for any age. The other thing to keep in mind is the time and place you would wear them. They are good for casual wear, but not in a formal business setting. They are great over skinny jeans!
This is one of my treasured belts that belonged to Ginger – Ralph Lauren with sterling silver buckles, a true Western classic.
Heading out to a mall so a light spring jacket made sense even though it was still quite chilly out…this one by Burberry, bought a few years back…
…and the back of the jacket is one of its best features; fitted and feminine. When you buy a jacket like this don’t expect to wear a heavy sweater underneath; it looks and feels best with a slim shirt, a light tee, or a thin sweater.
To enjoy hands free shopping you can’t beat a cross body bag. Chose this particular size (instead of their smaller one) because it easily fits all my essentials. How the heck would you fit your phone, lipstick, keys, and wallet in a teeny tiny bag? This one also has the added advantage of a being a clutch if you remove the strap.
Still scarf weather….
Must give a shout out thank you to my hairdresser, Robert…he does a fabulous job coloring and cutting my hair which needs attention every three weeks without fail. Just had it done the day before – think I will skip the hat today! 🙂
So, back the original question – how many pair of blue jeans do you have?

Even though I can’t wear jeans to work except on Fridays, I have to admit I probably have 20 pairs of jeans (that I wear regularly). I think this is because I had to wear a skirt to high school every. single. day. Perhaps I am making up for lost time? 🙂
Wow! That’s a lot!!! You still wear them all?
The jeans I wear now are mostly gap, Eddie Bauer, LL Bean, etc. I like plain, straight leg, maybe throw in some distressed ones here and there. The thing is, if I find a pair I love, I will go back and get another pair just like them. Thus the current 20 pairs in rotation.
