Below The Belt

Here I am dressed for the day, WFH and Zoom ready…the blazer is by L’Agence, a recent find at TJMaxx…the bright coral color will be great with so many pieces in my closet – black pencil skirt, navy silk trousers, and jeans of any color! It’s versatile for work or play and suitable for year round wear…but on this late February day, what’s ‘below the belt’ would not be ‘office appropriate’, at least not in a conservative office environment…

Some on Zoom calls may wear sweatpants or workout leggings, some are rumored to even wear pjs, but faux leather leggings is as casual as I go…

On the feet, something comfortable yet a step up from sneakers, chunky heeled Frye boots…all adds up to a look that’s edgy chic!

Notice the string of pearls? It’s always fun to mix sweet with badass! 😉 Bow-tie blouse is by Anne Fontaine – a wardrobe staple and machine washable!

Off to grab lunch, outerwear is still a must, but not for too much longer!
The Bottom Line:
- Online shopping has its limits – spring clothes are out and it’s fun to actually touch and feel before you buy.
- Keep in mind that blazers are not only for business attire; they instantly elevate your jeans, leggings, or even shorts to be an upscale casual outfit.
- Wearing an outfit that you feel good in can change your entire outlook and mood – don’t wait for the pandemic to end to wear your favorite pieces.
- Comfort and style are not mutually exclusive.
Stay well. Dress well. Enjoy the NOW.

Me too – it’s great with white, black, navy, even army green! 🙂
