Dressed for Comfort

011 After I am finished with my Saturday morning workout at the gym, it is often time to run errands and catch up with my grandchildren. More than any other time, outfit choice will be highly focused on comfort. Soft fabrics and flat shoes for sure. Two easy picks this day: a lightweight Skull cashmere sweater and Splendid cotton leggings…(link shows they are available now on Zappos!)001 What is especially great about these leggings is that they have a built-in mini skirt.  No need to worry if your top covers your butt – it doesn’t need to!  You enjoy comfort of soft, stretchy leggings without having to wear an oversized top, and without looking trashy.  Very clever design!002These brown leather boots are probably ten years old, bought at the Tannery…super comfortable with an edgy style…while the tan/black color combo is usually good enough for me, I was in the mood to brighten it up, so added a floral scarf and green aviators (Michael Kors).019

Instead of my black beret, a pom pom hat for a change…this one by Inverni in cashmere and raccoon, a recent purchase in Stowe, Vermont. Tried on lots of various fabrics/brands/colors before I found my favorite. Not a bargain. :-0

020 Ok, so the hat wasn’t a bargain, but this belted down jacket was for sure! A Burberry Brit, purchased a few years back at Revolve.  A Burberry classic on consignment is always a smart purchase.  Now I am ready to hit the road in complete comfort. 🙂
