As a business woman in the health care industry, sending a serious message is usually first and foremost in selecting an outfit for the day….however, depending on what’s on my calendar, a more creative look is certainly still business appropriate….if I am wearing sleeveless, a light jacket adds polish, but no need to only wear a conservative blazer….I found this rayon jacket at Anthropologie earlier this year, and it is actually on sale now, called the ‘Draped Daytripper Trench’….would look equally nice with jeans….. After purchasing the jacket I walked out of the store and saw the necklace in the window – Wow! – yup, you guessed it – turned around and walked right back in…what I like about it is that it delivers a bold statement but is light as a feather…..the copper color of the jacket looks terrific with black and/or white, which most of us already have in our closets…to give the outfit texture, I wore a waxed cotton skirt from All Saints, then for brightness (which is more face flattering), a white sleeveless shirt from JMcLaughlin – a great summer basic….shoes are micro fiber by Donald Pliner – SUPER comfortable , bought at Mad About Shoe in Winchester… This is definitely a look that is Ginger inspired…..she loved this color combination and especially liked bold accessories…..she would have loved the choker in this Pinterest photo……need not be real gold, but go for the BOLD!
