By now you know I am a fan of J McLaughlin clothes for work. They are effortless, comfortable, flattering, and have that “Palm Beach” upscale look…here is a skirt and sweater I purchased this year and have very much enjoyed. The sweater is merino wool and has gold buttons and a gold sparkly detachable collar. In these two different days I only changed the belt and scarf – it has been a winter where the boots have been a necessity, as is the warm sweater. This is a skirt I will also wear with a blazer and a silk or cotton shirt – very versatile.
While this post is about the skirt, have to tell you how great this Mackage jacket is! I bought it in New York a few years ago, but they carry this brand at Bloomingdales. Aside from it being very warm, it is ideal for a petite person that is easily lost in a full length coat. It is comfortable to drive in because it is not too bulky and it covers my bottom which is good in a cold car (don’t have a remote start yet!)…it looks professional for work, yet can also be worn with jeans and boots on the weekend.
