Remote Shopping Success

If you have been following my blog for any length of time you know that I am a huge fan of the Revolve Consignment Boutique, with a closet full of Revolve treasures to prove it…like all other retail stores they are temporarily closed due to COVID-19, but for a while they went LIVE daily on Facebook showing a number of featured products…how do you shop without trying things on? Well, some items were scarves and handbags, so no size to consider, some were pieces that are ‘forgiving’ and easy to wear regardless of the size, and some, well, you just took a chance, crossed your fingers, and felt good that you were supporting a local small business…
I took a chance and had success!

A fuchsia silk skirt by A.L.C.! Notice that the tag is still attached – that is not the Revolve tag, it’s the original tag! Brand new, never worn. 🙂 When I first tried it on I paired it with a fitted cashmere turtleneck, usually a good choice, but eh, something not quite right…top is too conservative and also too ‘wintery’ for this time of year…

Yes, way better! This is a tank from Free People, it’s cropped but not too cropped, so perfect with high waisted skirts or pants…

The hem is asymmetrical, you can wear the short part on the side or in the front, whichever you like better…

For a jacket, I added a leather jacket (another Revolve purchase) and silver clutch, both by Eileen Fisher…the oversized sparkly hoops are by Jennifer Miller…

A perfect outfit to wear to dinner at Il Casale – when they open again I will be ready!

Thank you Lauren and Lisa for finding this creative way to keep Revolve operating for a few weeks…you certainly gave me a thrill being able to engage in a little retail therapy and try on a new outfit.
Under an abundance of caution Revolve has stopped the LIVE shopping broadcasts, which resulted in multiple risky trips to the post office…instead they will be doing live broadcasts without shopping, featuring fun fashion topics: Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 3pm.
One day soon we will be shopping again! Until then, shop your closet, look your best, and stay safe!

I’ve been working from home since March 18th. At first I didn’t shop at all. But by this point, I’m about stir crazy, so online shopping helps make things seem more normal. I’ve purchased mostly shoes, jewelry, a watch, some makeup, etc.. love your new purchases. You look lovely.
