Saturday In The Park
Because I work full time including regular travel away from home, it is extra exciting to have my grandson for a whole weekend….it means everything else gets put on hold, with the entire focus on having as much fun as possible.
Preparations started well in advance – setting up the ‘big boy bed’, buying a table and chairs set, stocking up on strawberries, and deciding what to wear!
For the sunny but cool day, I opted for a no brainer – black Wolford leggings with Neesh separates (machine washable) and a wool Mackage jacket….comfortable for the playground yet does not scream ‘grandma’ …haha…….instead of a large tote, a Kate spade cross body bag was more practical as it kept my hands free….
Peter enjoys being “Papou” but not looking like one…..I would say he is looking just fine in Levi 514s and Cole Haan leather sneakers…..
Yeah, Peter always the comedian – no cocktails until Henry is asleep!
Hooray! Henry has arrived! And hooray that the sun is shining!
Started off indoors at the new table and chairs set by Pottery Barn Kids…it is a perfect size for small spaces and sturdy enough to hold Papou! Check out Henry’s shoes – they are Natives, recently purchased on Zappos…..Croc-like material in a sneaker look…..sturdy for the playground and Henry approved!
After plenty of time at the park it was time for pizza, then time for a nap – yeah, we ALL needed one! Gotta recharge for the afternoon of “shooting hoops!”

great pictures…..no granny and grampy look found here…. great when the sun shines ….Henry is adorable (:
I told you months ago Levi’s are hot…514’s and 505’s. Love the little table and chairs set. Where did you set up the big boy bed? I’m sure he was a little doll for the weekend. He is as delicious as those strawberries!
Big boy bed upstairs – the Pierre Deux iron day bed that was Ginger’s! I must differ with you on the jeans – while Peter looked nice enough, those jeans are not my favorite, not “hot” in my eyes….maybe ok for daytime, but for my taste, too mainstream….;-)
Love these pics! Henry is ADORABLE, those eyes! Especially loved the picture of you and Peter – the youngest, hippest looking grandparents I’ve ever seen!
