Swing into Spring

fullsizeoutput_750The month of May can be such a tease! Warm one day, then raw and chilly the next – that’s we we call this transition season. Even though temps are in the 40s, you don’t pull out your thick wool sweaters, instead you carefully choose layers, and yeah, you probably wear tights!  Lace tights by Wolford make you glad the day is cool…fullsizeoutput_76c Dreary weather need not mean dreary outfit. Started with the chartreuse DVF skirt for color, then topped it off with a black cotton Anne Fontaine shirt worn on the outside, leaving the two bottom buttons undone…fullsizeoutput_754

To give the look more finish I buttoned it up at the neck and added a black silk floppy bow – it may be hard to see in the photo but the black on black looked very cool.

Love it when a skirt has movement, puts an extra spring in my step!

A cropped leather jacket was a nice edgy contrast to the otherwise feminine look. (This one an old favorite by Elie Tahari)   Oh, yeah, can’t forget those Sermoneta driving gloves – so what it’s May!  It’s chilly. And they look good. 😉fullsizeoutput_75b Ready to hit the road with my Prada nylon tote – a lightweight classic that belonged to Ginger. For being over fifteen years old, it looks pretty good, right? Wait till you hear the story! Stay tuned…

  • We’re having blackberry winter here right now. It’s cold and raining with temps in the 50s. I had to wear a jacket to work today, and as we’re casual on Fridays, it was jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and loafers.

  • I’m not fond of lace tights, especially for professional dress.
