The Red Sweater

If you have been following my blog for some time, you probably know one of my fashion pet peeves: a red sweater with black pants. Especially in December. What’s wrong with it, you say? Wrong? Really nothing is wrong with it, I just find it highly predictable and way too common. But I could not resist buying this fire engine red sweater, a bright addition to my winter wardrobe…
Layered with a white cotton Theory shirt underneath, then added a fun belt – both found at Revolve.

Also from Revolve from a few years back, a simple camel pencil skirt. How about the suede boots? A worthy investment. They are by Aquatalia; elegant, warm, and waterproof!
The classic Burberry scarf (with a touch of red in the plaid) pulled in the color combo nicely, and a Mackage hooded coat was the final touch before I headed off to work.
This was the first time I wore a red sweater in a looonnnng time. Maybe next time I will try it with a leopard skirt, watch plaid pants, or distressed blue jeans! Just not with…you know. 😉

Love red w/ camel or tan!!!! Such a different look from red and black!!!
Great outfit!
I don’t wear a lot of red but when I do it’s never with black! Everybody does that and I don’t want to look like everyone else.
Love the outfit. My favorite pieces are the Burberry scarf and the belt – LOVE.Your makeup look lovely.
