Warm and Stylish

On a daily basis my job takes me in and out of the car visiting hospitals and potential clients in various places – sometimes long walks through damp parking garages and seemingly endless waits outdoors waiting for a train…..December in New England – I must be warm. Never does that mean sacrificing style – it actually presents more style options: coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and I will NEVER leave the house without all of the above. Here I wear an ivory coat that I especially like because it is a good proportion for a petite person – a full length coat would easily look dated and frumpy. Hard to see in the photo but I have on an ivory cashmere scarf which adds “finish” and also provides extra warmth….the red beret is my pop of color (if it is really cold or windy I will unroll the inner band of the beret to better cover my ears and it gives it a less traditional look)….. black leather driving gloves are not my warmest, but I love them…or I should say loved them as I lost them when out Christmas shopping last week…..underneath I am wearing a JMcLaughlin sleeveless dress with a thin black turtleneck underneath – having two layers is essential to feeling comfortable in the chilly air.
Warm. Comfortable. Professional. Stylish.
